To Parents, Coaches & Players: Please contact the Equipment Manager Doug Smith BY EMAIL ONLY – (PLEASE DO NOT CALL) before 10:00 AM at dpsmgs@comcast.net to order/replace equipment. If the equipment is in our inventory it can be brought to the next practice. If not in our inventory, it may be obtained from the Supplier in Peabody, MA and be available the same day if ordered before 10:00 AM. If the Supplier does not have the equipment in their inventory, equipment will be ordered that day from the Supplier. Equipment must be ordered BY 10:00 AM - BY EMAIL ONLY to ensure receiving it at the next practice or as quickly as is possible from the Supplier. Equipment Information - preseason: Football shoes, practice shirts and athletic supporters with cups are now in at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sports Authority as well as other sporting goods stores. Youth football shoes and sizes sell out quickly in July and early August so get yours in June/July. Don’t wait to buy football shoes until just before practice starts (TBD mid August) as sizes and brands of football shoes become very limited or sold out. Generals Youth Football will be providing helmets, chin straps with hard cups, some chin straps with soft cups, shoulder pads, Bike 5 pocket spandex girdles, girdle pads, navy blue Generals football socks, belts, mouth guards, practice pants, game pants and game shirts. Game pants and game shirts should not be worn at practices. Players should wear shorts, T shirts/or a practice jerseys and football shoes the first two (2) weeks of practice which starts mid August at Patton Park from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM - Tuesday through Friday. This year Football Equipment will be handed out by Team TBD at the Generals Iron Rail Storage Facility. You will be notified by the Coaches and the Equipment Manager regarding arrangements and scheduling for the equipment hand out. Arrangements will be made for the following week for those that might not be available for the first hand-out. Coaches and the Equipment Manager will be available to ensure all equipment is fitted properly for each player and that new players are shown how to put equipment on.
